Safe Usage of Trading Platforms
- You should not conduct Internet Trading using a thick client from shared or public PCs
- You should log out after having finished trading to avoid misuse
Protecting Your Identity
- Your password should be easy to remember but difficult to guess
- If you have reason to think your password and/or private key has been compromised, change it and contact us immediately
- If your password and/or private key stops working, contact us immediately
- You should change your password regularly
- Never disclose your password and/or private key to anybody. No one will ever legitimately ask for your password and/or private key
- If you are consistently being denied access to your account, contact us immediately – someone else may be using your account
Securing Your Computer
- You should protect yourself against viruses and the like by having a firewall, an anti-virus solution, and a malware detection tool installed on your PC
- You should protect your PC from misuse by enabling "Screen Lockout" after three minutes of inactivity
Be Vigilant
- You should check your account and transaction history regularly to ensure that:
- All details are updated and correct
- No unauthorised transactions have taken place on your account(s)
- If you notice any unusual/unauthorised transactions, please change your Password and notify us immediately by calling our Contact Centre.
- You should not open email attachments from people you do not know
- Never access the Bank’s webpages by using hyperlinks – always type the full address in your browser window
